Would you like a really cool stroller accessory? I think we have it for you today. It’s called the TextHook and ever since we received our review unit, I can truly say we have not stopped using it with our strollers. As the advertisement says, “A dashboard for your mobile life”. Well what exactly is this little gadget for? It’s a smartphone holder, that is designed to attach to the handlebars of your stroller, bike, grocery cart, or even the treadmill at the gym. What happens usually when you are pushing your little one around, and someone calls? You go “Oh no!”.You dread having to dig all through your diaper bag or purse trying to get to your phone? Or better yet, you decide not to miss anymore calls and just put the phone in the cup holder. Then what happens?
You drop it and your phone gets all scraped up (or shatters like mine!), or better yet it gets wet from the drink you had in the cup holder before. Not cool!
OK, so how does the TextHook work? Well the TextHook alleviates those issues with it’s easy to use velcro strap. Which makes its easy to attach quickly to any thing with a bar! It works best if you use it with a bluetooth headset because then your hands are completely free. The same way as when you would be driving your car. But I use it on speaker phone all the time while stolling around with my girls and I can hear fine!! Does it work with only a certain phone? No, because it has a slider on the back that allows you to be able to fit different size smartphones. We used several different devices with the Text Hook, and it worked well for us. We used the Ipod Touch 3g, HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Droid Eris, and the Motorola Droid. If I could there was any complaint, some people might say they want the top slide down smaller so that it would not get in the way of any headset plugins. I didn’t have a problem with that though.
One of the other cool features is that it is designed to be able to rotate 180°! Very cool! And what else is great is that you don’t have to be very tech savvy person to use this device.
