I’m not sure if it’s my germaphobia, or if most moms are like I am- but I absolutely hated my girls crawling on the floor. No matter how clean it was, I always felt that it wasn’t clean enough for my babies to be on. I bought them a nice little area rug for their playroom several years back, it has seen better days by now- unraveling, a bit stained from spilled juice- normal wear and tear I guess. Now that it is getting older I can’t help but think to myself how it hasn’t been washed in almost 4 years!! I wonder what germs are crawling around on it- gross I don’t even want to think about it!! I do my best to not to- spray it down with some disinfectant spray and go about my business, but it is always in the back of my mind. I would just break down and get a new one, but they can get pretty pricey. Well, Safety 1st has some really adorable Foam Floor Mats that are not only cute, but they also have Microban Technology to prevent stain and odor causing germs, bacteria, mold and mildew- my kind of technology!! It is soft, baby safe- and makes me feel a lot better about putting the little ones on the floor!! When babies are first learning to walk and crawl, they are always on the floor!! My girls never even touched the carpet until they were standing up by themselves (yes I am that crazy!!) I only wish I had this when they were smaller!! Now, I put it in their playroom, for a safe, comfortable, cushioned area to play!!

The Foam Play Mat we received has multicolored interlocking pieces, almost like a puzzle, my girls love putting it together and taking it apart!! It is super easy to assemble and take down. The cutout circles are in the same fun colors as the rest of the mat- but what my girls and I like to do is mix it up a bit and interchange the different colors, it makes seem like a different mat every time!! If you have tile or hardwood floors this is pretty much a necessity!! No more cold, hard flooring for your little ones to play on!! We received one for our girls, and it matched our playroom perfectly- it was almost identical to the area rug we have in their now- minus the unraveling edges : )

My girls play hopscotch, make up games where they jump to a specific color, they even take it apart and pretend they are pizzas- what imaginations!! The play mat we received came in a pack of 9 and is a 12′ X 12″ surface. You can purchase several sets and interlock them all together, no matter which size you get. I am a true Safety 1st fan for so many reasons, now I have one more to add to the list!!
