Lately it seems like the only channel that my TV sees these days is Nick Jr. Not that I am complaining at all because Nick Jr. has some really great shows perfect for preschoolers. One show that I was recently introduced to, and that has rapidly became one of my girls favorite shows is Peppa Pig. Off the bat I wasn’t too sure I was going to be impressed by a family of pigs, but I must say Peppa is pretty cute. Peppa Pig is a sweet show that is targeted toward kids ages 2-6 that comes on Nick Jr. Initially started in the UK it has been a huge hit on Nick Jr. and in our home!!

Peppa Pig follows the day to day activities of Peppa, her little brother George, Mommy Pig and Daddy Pig. Peppa, her family and friends go to school, go on trips, play games, ride bikes and their favorite past time of all- jumping in muddy puddles! The show is fun and family friendly!!

Peppa Pig appeals to preschoolers and parents as well!! The stories are simple and easy for little ones to follow and the situations are realistic, teaching valuable lessons suitable for smaller children. Despite being a family of pigs, Peppa’s family and friends are much like your typical family! Peppa Pig is a great show for preschoolers with lessons about kindness, loyalty, family values, friendship, and fun, combined in each adorable episode! Peppa Pig aires on Nick Jr.- check your local listing for times!!
