Oral Care is a huge deal in our house. Growing up I had a tremendous amount of cavities. And while diet and heredity do pay a role in the development in cavities, proper oral hygiene is so important!! And proper oral care for little ones should begin even before their first tooth appears. I have even heard some parents say that their little teeth are going to fall out anyway so why brush them!! : 0 But baby teeth are very important for the development of their adult teeth. Both of my girls got their first teeth very early – round 4 months, so brushing has been going on here for a while. But I do wish I started cleaning their gums even as newborns.
