Learning Resources Crocodile Hop Floor Game Review and Giveaway

 My girls are totally into games right now, boards games, card games, and now since they have discovered the Crocodile Hop game from Learning Resources- floor games as well.   What I really love about Learning Resources as a whole is that their games aren’t just fun .  They are games that make learning fun!! When I first saw this floor game I knew that my girls were going to love it.  It had bright vivid colors and the graphics were very eye catching and engaging as well.  

I waited until my sister in law, who happens to be a teacher, was in town to open this one to get her perspective on this game.  When we opened it for the first time, both of my girls couldn’t wait to start.  The two inflatable squares were super easy to inflate- and the little one loved just tossing it around!  The game itself is a river and you cross to the end by hopping from number to color to shape.  We chose the color option for the first round, since my 2 year old knows all of her colors, I knew it would be easier for her to keep up. With a roll of the cube, they move their animal game marker to the corresponding color until someone reaches the end.  But watch out you don’t get snapped!! My girls thought that was the funniest thing when they got snapped by the crocodile and lost a turn- they kept saying “OH NO- I just got snapped”- soo adorable!! They had such a good time playing and learning.  This awesome game integrates active play with basic math skills, which my 4 year old is oddly interested in right now thanks to Team Oomi Zoomi : ) It helps them with shape and color recognition and number sense.  It is for ages 3-6, my 2 year old had a ton of fun for one game, then she began to get really distracted, so my sister in law suggest that we fold it in half for less stimulation, then once they reach the end, just flip it over for the other half-  worked like a charm!! So if you have this game and your child is easily over stimulated, you might give it a shot- it really worked!!My 4 year old could have played all day I think, but after 2 games the 2 year old started using it as a gym mat doing somersaults : ) I was so shocked at how much my girls knew- especially the 2 year old! And now, with this super fun and educational game she will learn much more!!  Their are so many different variations that can be played- it is really like 10 games in one- 11 if you count the gym mat   : ) (it’s not really a gym mat). Another awesome product from Learning Resources!!! Got a big thumbs up from the teacher sister in law as well!!
