UpSpring Baby, a company dedicated to the health, wellness, and safety of your children, have two awesome products we were fortunate enough to review. First, Milkscreen. After being pregnant for 9 months and breastfeeding for 19, every once in a while I would really feel the need to have a drink. But, I was extremely concerned for the well-being of my daughter, so I always refused. But thanks to the people at UpScreen, mompreneurs working with medical experts and laboratories who want the best for you and your baby, you can have the occasional drink without worrying. Milkscreen is a home test for alcohol in your breastmilk. (more…)

Here in Northern Caifornia, it doesn’t rain a whole lot, except of course, during the winter months. Which is horrible timing for me since my daughter was born in the winter and our baby on the way will also be born in the dead of winter. Trying to keep my daughter shielded from the rain, I always used to use the shield on her infant carrier or a heavy blanket, neither of which did a particularly good job of keeping her dry. Thankfully this time I will have the UPPAbaby Bubble. (more…)

Adorable bamboo clothing for your baby! Kicky Pants, created by Erin, a mother of two, who while on bedrest with her second child decided to do something with her time to help benefit their whole family. Thus Kicky Pants was started. Most of Kicky Pants items are made from bamboo, an eco-friendly, ultra plush material that is so soft against babies skin. My favorite item from the line is the super cute, bamboo dress. (more…)

I can’t believe Cabbage Patch Kids are turning 25! I remember when the first ones were released, I wanted one so bad. My grandma did the coolest thing, at least I thought. She had a few heads of cabbages in her window-seal, and every time my cousin and I came over she would tell us, “Just a little while longer and the babies will be ready”, we actually thought the cabbages were going to grow babies. But one day she invited us both over and there they were! Two brand new babies. I picked the bald one, Robin was his name, and my cousin picked the blond. I still have my Cabbage Patch from 25 years ago. he is a little ragged, one arm needs to be sewn a little, but he is still in good shape. How cool it was to find out Cabbage Patch was coming out with their 25th additions. (more…)

A stainless steel sippy cup? Yes, you heard it correctly. With all the BPA scares out there, the makers of The Safe Sippy, Kid Basix, created a sippy cup completely free of BPA, phthalates, or DEHA- they used stainless steel. Some parts of course had to be made from plastic, like the lid and spout, so they made sure the plastic used is completely free of all harmful chemicals. My daughter loves that the cup looks like it has a straw in it, so it makes it a little more fun for her, she’ll drink anything as long as it’s in a straw. (more…)
