Right now my daughter is at that age where all she wants to eat is rice cakes and cheese. Jennifer Carden the author of The Toddler Cafe, went through a similar experience with her own child and decided to create a fun, interactive, and healthy way to feed even the most finicky of eaters. It’s has 50 really cool, creative recipes to make eating healthy foods fun. With creative names and cool presentations, your child will have fun trying out things like lord of the apple rings. Forget the hot dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches. They offer food that kids and adults alike will love to eat. My favorite is the Minty Pea Pops, looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream, but is much healthier. Cream cheese, frozen peas, peppermint, and chocolate chips- what a way to get the kids to eat their veggies. The Pumpkin Pockets are really cool as well, instead of buying frozen ravioli, gyoza wrappers filled with a creamy pumpkin inside.

I really like that the recipes allow for your child to assist with the preparation ( and clean up) of the foods so it makes it more fulfilling for them as well. There are so many really cool recipes inside this book that will wow any child. It even gives you a list of must-haves for your pantry and toddler friendly table tools. Go pick up a copy today and help your child become an “adventurous, healthy eater.” HERE at Chronicle Books.
