BabyCenter released it’s annual top ten baby names for 2007 . Here is the list beginning with the top ten boy names for 2007:

10. Matthew

9. Logan

8. Jack

7. Jackson

6. Noah

5. Caden

4. Jaden

3. Jacob

2. Ethan

and in the number one slot: Aiden, again. It looks as if people are sticking with the tradition names again for their little guys.

And for the girls:

10. Olivia

9. Kaitlyn

8. Emily

7. Hailey

6. Addison

5. Ava

4. Maddison

3. Emma

2. Isabella

and number one knocking Emma out of number one is Sophia.

It seems that people are coming up with a wide variety of ways to spell their baby names last year. It seems ten boys names were spelled 118 different ways, and 10 girls names were spelled 104 different ways. I didn’t realize one name could be spelled so different.

As we know 2007 seemed to be a big boom in celebrity babies as well. Here are just a few unique baby names they came up with.

Drea de Mateo and Shooter Jennings had a baby girl- Alabama Gypsy Rose. Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler had a son- Magnus Hart. Jaime Pressly and Eric Cubiche had a son, Dezi James. Lindsay Davenport and Jonathan Leach had a son, Jagger Jonathan. These are some of the ones I found to be unique, if you have one that you think is better, leave me a comment and I will add it. There is one thing for sure, the celebrities have been having a definite baby boom. I can’t wait to see what cool names come from 2008.
