I know this happens to me all the time and I am a total germaphobe: Some stranger walks up to your baby and says how cute she is, and either touches or kisses her hands, which end up in her mouth at some point. As a nurse, I know how easily it is to spread germs, and most of the illnesses your baby gets are spread by contact from one person to another and caused because people just don’t wash their hands like they should. Even though you don’t want to be rude, you want to let them know “Please don’t touch my baby!” And don’t we as parents have the right to decide who touches or kisses our babies and what germs they are exposed to? Vonetta Williams, the founder of Wordsies knows exactly how I, and you feel, so she came up with a great idea. Put it right on my baby’s shirt. Now politely let everyone know:

It’s OK to look, but please don’t touch me. We don’t know where your hands have been or what kind of hygiene you have. Please don’t touch peoples babies you don’t know!

A friend of ours kissed my daughter on the lips, and I thought I was going to have a heart attack, I wish I had this shirt then! Don’t kiss other peoples babies on the lips.

To all you smokers out there, I don’t mean to offend, but I hate it when I have to stand near someone smoking, all the time I’m thinking that my baby is breathing in their cigarette. Cigarette smoking we all know is an unhealthy practice, but much more so is it for our babies, and has been connected to cases of SIDS. A portion of the proceeds of Wordsies go to help SIDS research.

My baby is not your baby, please don’t compare them.

And, “your baby is soooo cute, what race is she?” Now, they don’t have to ask, it’s on her shirt. Why would you even ask someone that?

All Wordsies shirts are made with 100% cotton, with screen print and embroidered designs, and made in America. If you want to make a statement without having to saying a word go here.

Wordsies- “Through the parents, through their babies, to the world.”

Wow! This is just the best idea! I wish I had these shirts when my kids were babies! People just don’t know any better! I love it! Now all mothers can say how they feel without making anyone mad!

I wish I would’ve had this shirt when my MIL kissed my son on the mouth, with a cold sore. Gross! Thank God for these products!
